2024 Christmas Message

Seasons Greetings.
While the Independent United Order of Mechanics is not a Christian Organization, we do have Members of the Mechanics, Order who are Christians.
Over the past three weeks many of us around the world have been preparing ourselves, through the process of Advent,
Christmas is a joyous, festive season. It’s a colorful, and exuberant, Holiday. It is a time when families and friends get together, often travelling great distantenances to celebrate and spend time together. For many it is the highlight of the year.
The real reason of Christmas is to celebrate and remember the birth of Jesus Christ, God’s ultimate gift to mankind.
To give up one’s very self, to think only of others, how to bring the greatest happiness to others, that is the true meaning of Christmas.
The true meaning of Christmas is love. John 3: 16-17 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten, son that whosever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world but the world through him might be saved.
The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of this incredible act of love.
In the Beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men (1 John 4: 8)
My fellow Mechanics, as we come together with our loved ones, Families, and Friends, let us be mindful of those who are shut-in and other less fortunate ones.
My fellow Mechanics, on behalf of the Executive Committee of Grand Council and my family, we wish for all mechanics, and their families, worldwide, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
